Califia Unsweetened Vanilla Milk

I’m always on the hunt for new dairy free milks to try. I have some favourites which I always stick with for tea (Alpro and Plenish) but when it comes to coffee I love to mix things up.

I’ll often go for a hazelnut milk in my coffee but more recently I’ve been using Califia Unsweetened Vanilla Milk. Have you tried it? It’s free from dairy, gluten, soy and added sugar.

I really like the Califia brand and haven’t tried anything from them that I dislike. They do plant based milks and cold brew coffees. If you’re in America then their line-up is even more exciting with juices and creamers. I really hope they bring their dairy free coffee creamers to the UK. I’ve heard they even do a pumpkin spiced flavour in autumn.

The milk comes in a 750ml bottle. It’s a really shapely bottle and looks fab but it does feel like a lot of plastic, I could be wrong though. Does anyone know what the bottles are made from? I’d love to see more of their milks in the boxed options.

The flavour is lovely. It’s an almond milk with a subtle vanilla flavour. I like that it’s not super sweet and artificial, like some of the vanilla almond milks on the market. It’s also much better than adding a vanilla syrup to your coffee.

You’ll be pleased to know it works perfectly in coffee. There’s no separation at all. You can heat it up but it doesn’t foam.

You can grab a bottle over on Ocado or Sainsbury’s.
